Dr. Steven Batash is regarded as one of the best weight loss doctors in New York and well-known for his expertise in Suture Sculpt endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) and gastric balloon weight loss treatments. He has worked closely with the pioneers who developed many of the innovative techniques he uses today and has helped thousands of patients in the U.S., Europe, and South America reach their weight loss goals and improve their health.
A graduate of Columbia University and the NYU School of Medicine, Dr. Batash is a board-certified gastroenterologist affiliated with NYU Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
He is one of the leading ESG doctors in NYC and is dedicated to continuing education, so regularly trains other physicians at his state-of-the-art endoscopy suite, where they observe him performing advanced endoscopic weight loss procedures. He also mentors gastroenterology fellows at Bellevue Hospital (NYU).
Dr. Batash has built a reputation as a trusted specialist in nonsurgical weight loss options over the course of more than 30 years of practicing medicine in New York City and has been featured by NBC News, ABC News, and USA Today for his impressive work in the field of weight loss.
Dr. Batash lives and works in NYC with his wife, two sons, and their family of pets, which includes a dog, an African grey parrot, a bearded dragon, and a small turtle.
